Let me introduce myself, over a cup of coffee perhapgs? My name is Janice Lee, and I am a registered speech-language pathologist and professional graphic designer. I created this page to be able to share some of the thoughts and musings I have collected throughout my professional and parenting journey. I would love to have a space where we can join to discuss and learn about childhood development, speech, language, creativity and learning!

Sometimes, it feels so overwhelming in this internet society. I, myself, have a million questions to which Google has a million answers! From figuring out milestones, how should I play with my child, what foods to start with, and when I should have more concerns, sometimes we just a place to be able to share and gather information and opinions. I know parenting was much less scary for me when I could connect and talk to other parents and professionals. However, I also believe that we should take all information with an open mind, and learn to evaluate for ourselves what works for our own family and situation.

There’s no right or wrong path when you raise your child — it’s really just a journey where you aim to be your “personal best”, but also forgiving yourself when you may have gotten off-course. Taking the time to reflect, learn, and grow can help you frame the decisions you make.

If the day ever came when we were able to accept ourselves and our children exactly as we and they are, then, I believe, we would have come very close to an ultimate understanding of what ‘good’ parenting means.
